My first few weeks at Hasbro have been a blast so far! I can already feel myself becoming a part of the Hasbro family. Since I have a desk at both the Pawtucket and Providence offices, it means I get to see a lot of Rhode Island and meet a lot of new people. Hasbro makes some of the most iconic toys in history. Kids everywhere, including kids at heart like myself, love Littlest Pet Shop, Play-Doh, My Little Pony, and so many of Hasbro’s other brands. It is so important that Hasbro keeps making new toys and play experiences for each new generation of kids and I am glad to be a part of that.
I am currently a 3rd year student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I started my studies as an Industrial Designer, but after the first year, I changed my major to Packaging Science. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of being a toy designer. Even though my job here is to design the packages for the toys, it is pretty close to my childhood fantasy. Hasbro’s iconic brands and characters make working here easy to get passionate about, and I can tell that everyone I have talked to shares the same sentiment. I am surprised about how friendly and helpful people are here, always willing to answer any questions I might have. I think one of my challenges of working here will be leaving at the end!
